Only the patient requiring the blood test should enter the clinic unless assistance is required by a carer or relative for the duration.
Booking Routine Blood Tests- Routine Blood Tests can be booked in the community or at your local hospital.
Routine Blood Clinic Option 1: To make an appointment at a community based blood clinic: If you live in Chorley and South Ribble, appointments can be made by contacting your GP Practice directly.
Routine Blood Clinic Option 2: Appointments can be made at Royal Preston Hospital or Chorley and South Ribble District General Hospital, operating Monday – Friday from 9am until 5pm. To book your appointment, please call 01257 247095. You should only attend only of these hospital clinics for a blood test if: your doctor has instructed you to do so, AND has supplied you with a blood form to bring with you to your appointment. The blood form is a requirement for your appointment so please remember to bring it along. If you have not received a blood form, but have been instructed to attend a hospital clinic, please contact your GP Practice directly before attending. If you are attending Royal Preston Hospital for a routine blood-test, please arrive at the main entrance and turn right towards the ambulance desk; the clinic details will be sign posted from here. If you are attending Chorley and South Ribble District General Hospital for a routine blood-test, please arrive at the front door of the Urgent Care Centre.
Booking Urgent Blood Tests- There are a number of ways to access urgent blood test clinic appointments. Both clinic options provide the same service. Please note the different opening times, contact details and location with the hospital sites. You should only attend one of these clinics at the hospital for the urgent blood test if: your doctor has instructed you to do so AND has supplied you with a blood form to bring with you to your appointment. The blood form is a requirement for your appointment so please remember to bring it along. If you have not received a blood form, please contact your GP Practice directly before attending.

Urgent Clinic Booking Option 2: Royal Preston Hospital and Chorley and South Ribble District General Hospital, operating Monday to Friday 8.30am to 12.30pm. To book your appointment, please call 01772 524146 or 01772 524143 Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm. These urgent clinics will take place in the usual blood clinic locations at both Royal Preston Hospital and Chorley and South Ribble District General Hospital.
