Hanukkah is the Jewish Festival of Lights. The festival begins on the 25th day of Kislev and is celebrated for a period of eight days to commemorate the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem.
Hanukkah which means ‘dedication’ in Hebrew, is celebrated with a nightly menorah lighting, special prayers and fried foods.
