Weaning

Many first-time parents wonder when and how to start weaning. With so much conflicting advice available, it can be confusing. Start4Life Information Service for Parents are here to explain what it all means.
Weaning starts when a child is around 6 months old and teaches them how to move, chew and swallow solid foods. This gives them time to develop properly, so they can cope with solid food alongside their usual breast milk or first infant formula.
