Black women are 40% more likely to experience a miscarriage than white women.
The Maternity Disparities Taskforce, which met earlier this week, will address issues across the country by working with a wide range of experts to improve maternity care for all women.
This includes:
– improving personalised care and support plans for mothers
– improving education and awareness of pre-conception health
– increasing access to maternity care for all women
– developing targeted support for women from the most vulnerable groups
